I started Himbio because of my own issues with my gut, which is a pretty personal sentence to introduce myself with, but here we are.

I also strongly believe that these things should be talked about and normalised. Hence this intimate confession.

Because I've lived with IBS for years. Bloating, discomfort, the whole unglamorous list. If you know, you know.

On top of this I was also a world-level athlete for 10 years, so I really needed to be on top of my game physically. But between my IBS and generally busy lifestyle, this often amounted to pure gastrointestinal chaos.

So, like most people, I went looking for something to help.

And what I found was shelf after shelf of supplements built for absolutely nobody in particular.

Same strains, same doses, same vague wellness claims. “Perfect” for whoever happened to be buying that day…

None of it accounted for how I actually lived.

I wanted something that fit with my diet, my routine, my body.

None of it’s generic, so why was every supplement I tried built like it was?

That's the thing I couldn't stop noticing. The pure mundanity and averageness of everything else out there.

But we know that gay men have specific lifestyles, diets, and health considerations. Ones that most big-name supplement brands never think to formulate for, because they're too busy creating for a "typical man" who doesn't actually exist.

What works for some random guy who lives down your street isn't necessarily going to work for you.

And pretending otherwise is exactly why so many of us have a drawer full of supplements that did nothing. (I can’t be the only one, right?)

So I created the thing I needed but couldn't find.

Himbio started as a probiotic formula called Gut Health+, because that's where my own problem was, and it grew from there.

A prebiotic supplement, Cleansing Fibre+, came next, because most men (gay or otherwise) are chronically short on fibre and nobody wants to mention it.

Then there was TestoLift+, because energy and drive (I think we all know what I’m getting at here…) are just as important as good digestion, and deserve the same level of care rather than being an afterthought.

This is all incredibly important to me, so I make sure that every Himbio formula gets the same treatment: proper doses, real ingredients, nothing added just to pad out the information on the packaging.

If we can't give you a good reason for why something's in there, it's not in there at all.

Himbio is completely LGBTQ+ owned. So you can rest assured that it’s run by people (like moi) who actually understand the community it's made for. There’s no shady boardroom of suits making bad decisions on our behalf. (We can all do that ourselves…)

We take health seriously. We just don't take ourselves too seriously while doing it.
